On the 2nd of July 2005, Edireflex organised a one day Localisation of reflex points workshop by Dr Jesus Manzanares Corominas. The workshop was a success gathering reflexologists from all over Spain (who had up until then, only been able to work from his book published in 2003) wanting to benefit from Dr Manzanares' teachings and valuable experience.
After 20 years of compiling medical notes on approximately 70,000 clinical cases Dr Manzanares was able to obtain very clear and concrete reflex point maps. As he was investigationg the localisation of reflex points, he began another line of investigation into the study of "the paths that use reflexologic estimulation and their response routes", what is known as neurophysiological foundations. Three pillars (concepts) make up the basis of the reflexologic method that carries his name: Localisations, neurophysiological foundations and protocols.
Unfortunately Dr Manzanares does not teach much in Spain, but we hope that through his standing in the association as Founding member, and member of Honour, we are able to aspire for more projects in the future.
