Continuing Professional Development (Post Graduate) Training 2010

Precision Reflexology - Module 2
presented by
Jan Williamson

15th and 16th of May 2010

Jan Williamson director of the School of Precision Reflexology in the UK will demonstrate how precision reflexology allows us to connect to the subtle energy of the client. The technique used is called “linking”, this connects  two, sometimes more, specific points on the feet (and hands) in order to establish a sense of equilibrium and balance. The contact is very light because the strength of the treatment lies in the energy and not in the physical pressure used. This technique is currently being used in hospitals around the UK and this post graduate course forms part of Clinical Reflexology training.

Even though Precision work uses light pressure, the therapeutic effects are powerful, both physically and emotionally. This intuitive style gives added insight into the holistic approach of reflexology, it gives power and precision to the therapy and it is a way of responding to the unique nature of each client. It can easily be adapted to all forms of reflexology and has been used extensively to develop skills for practitioners who wish to be integrated health care professionals. In turn, these skills can be passed on to clients in order to increase their confidence and awareness concerning health issues.
